Prompt:
-Avengers/Captain America
-Captain America
- Reader, modern, and lots of fluff (maybe a lemon)

It’s so very hard to breathe and your vision is blurred by the tears in your eyes. You clutch at your abdomen before rolling off the couch onto the floor.

“It’s not funny…”

Steve’s words only serve to make you laugh harder. He blushes adorably, a slight pouting puff in his cheek, as he takes up a pillow and throws it lightly at you. You block the attack effortlessly, sitting up as you wiped at your eyes.

“It was pretty funny!”

Steve gives you a flat look and the adorableness of it makes your heart flutter with delight. Crawling on your hands and knees, you move to closer to Steve. Hands on his knees you move your face closer to his and you have to fight back a chuckle at the sight of his flushed cheeks.

“Why are you so irresistible?”

“Me? No…”

“I mean it,” you reply as you skillfully wedge yourself between his legs, “Shall I count the ways?”

“Clearly you’ve been spending too much time with Tony.”

You chuckles mischievously, but his words do nothing to deter your planned motions.

“Shall I compare thee to a masterful painting?,” you say sweetly as you move a hand to his hair, playing with the strands, “Of course I mustn't for not even the most golden of dyes could compare to the fair silk threads expertly laid upon your head.”

Steve blinks at you in awe, mouth slightly open, “Did you rehearse this?”

You opt not to answer, preferring to continue your personal sonnet with a soft smirk.

“Perhaps I’ll liken thee to the softest of mornings,” You wrap your arms about his neck, resting your forehead against his own, “sunlight wrapping bodies in its renewed warmth. Again perchance I shouldn’t, after all not even the heat of the sun could rival the passion you spur within me, body and soul.”

“(Y/N)…” Steve seems to moan as he sighs weakly and you lightly kiss the tip of his nose.

“Shall I compare thee to the sweetest of flowers?” you pretend to frown as you shake your head, “Perhaps not, for not even the most fragrant of roses could soothe my weary mind in the manner that which your smile does.”

You then move a finger to run a nimble finger across the man’s lip, watching him for any changes. No, he stills seems rather smitten.

“Thou art the most divine of gifts and I tremble at the thought of knowing that I may have all. Of. This.” You whisper against his lips as you trace a finger down from his shoulder stopping only to rest your open palm upon the thrumming patch of skin.

There’s a silence as you both watch one another and you'd begun to think that perhaps you’d killed him. You prepare to speak, to question his wellbeing, but Steve doesn’t allow you to do so as he hurriedly pushes you back, hands on your shoulders as he urges you to the floor.

“Steve—!”

Steve is clearly in no mood for words—strange seeing as your words put him in this mood—as he dominates your lips with great fervor. His sudden enthusiasm is a bit surprising, you’d only been teasing, but you’ve no complaints as you wrap your arms about him. The hand slips beneath your shirt is cooler than your own temperature and you tremble eagerly at touch.

Even when the man was overtly aroused, he never anything short of gentle. The nonsensical patterns his fingers fashion upon the skin of your abdomen makes you sigh contently. You tilt you head to the side to allow him better access to the sensitive skin of your neck. He kisses at the skin before he bites down and you keen softly at the sensation. Steve is quick to enact his apology of sorts as he licks at the bite-mark and you chuckle internally. Yes Steve was always patient and gentle, but the man had turned out to be a tad bit possessive. You were fairly certain it had something to do with the fact his best friend was one Tony Stark, but you paid it no never mind.

You tangle you fingers in velvety blonde locks, gently combing your finger through the soft strands and Steve sighs into your neck. He always did love when you’d pet him. Steve removes his lips from the juncture of your neck to reaffirm them upon your lips, deftly running a hand up and down your jean clad thighs. When he draws away to peer at you, you smile softly as you place a tender hand on his cheek. He bites down nervously his bottome lip and you can’t help but grin. That always meant he had something to say, something he likely deemed to be emabarrasing. You shift up to raise your body on your elbows and kiss him lightly on his cheek.

“What’s wrong?”

As if his face couldn’t get any redder! He makes a discontented noise before moving to hide his face in the juncture of your neck.

“You really shouldn’t talk like that…”

You snort with pleasant dismay before full on laughing as you envelope this adorable man in your awaiting arms. You twist to lay a kiss upon his hair before responding.

“Well love, that’s what you get for dating an English professor.”

When I read that one of the prompts was modern, I thought 'Yeah! Now let me add an awful play on Shakespeare because I'm clearly not a poet!'

Ooh~! One should never tease the Captain because after all it really is always the quiet ones~
And it would seem our Captain has a poetry kink. Who knew~!

And what are you laughing at in this little fic you ask. Well the answers obvious...I haven't the slightest~!

C'mon! (Steve x Reader)
Steve sighs yet again as he listlessly looks about the club. He really had no desire to be here, but Tony and Clint really had a way with words. Plus it didn’t hurt that they mentioned that you would be tagging along. Truth be told, the blonde had quite the crush on you, but he could never work up the courage to vocalize this emergence of feelings. Not to mention he always had to play Captain America and you were always rushing about doing whatever it is level 7 SHIELD agents do.
Steve couldn’t even strike up a conversation with his so called friends. Clint had disappeared almost the instant you all had entered the building and Tony was currently—and rather shamelessly—flirting with three women at the same time. Steve would never understand why women let Tony get away with half the things he did. Still Steve managed to find something to occupy his time.
Watching you.
You’d been quick to make your way to the dance floor, eager to let out some pent up

Introspective (Steve x Reader)
Introspective
The grains beneath your feet and the coolness on your skin is almost alarming, to be this content, complete and whole. It is simply much too good to be true. The sound of the water lapping is washing all thought from your mind, cleansing—an entirely new slate. As the day grows older, the tide rises. The ocean reaches out, hands seeking your toes, so very close, but never quite reaching. It draws back as though it has given up, only to spur up another bout of energy in order to try again. Crashing over into itself, the ocean calls. The sun is falling and the moonlight fights to reign, softly rocking the waves back and forth. The wind whips through you hair and against your suave evening dress, back and forth, back and forth…and that—this—consistency keeps you at peace.
Ha.
Lies.
Always lies.
…No more lies…not anymore.
"I hate the ocean. I hate the way it always makes me feel. Trapped, limited, and grounded."
You pause as

Does Not Compute (StevexReader)Does Not Compute
The first time Steve met her was at one of Tony’s many extravagant parties, though ‘met’ was a bit of a reach. Steve had been listening to Clint recount one of his ‘excursions’ in Taiwan when he saw her, wrapped in a sleek figure-fitting violet dress. The satin clung to her body in the best of ways, enhancing her evident natural beauty. Steve found himself enraptured with curled (h/c) locks and fiery (e/c) eyes.
Oh how he would’ve loved to walk over and introduce himself, but even after many years of being the envied Captain America, Steve could find no courage to do so. Thus he settled for watching her, all night really, as she merrily mingled with the other guests and danced about on the floor, elegant and pure.
He felt rather like a stalker, truly, with the way his eyes followed her about the room. He did his very best to pay his mind elsewhere, but not even one of Clint’s oh so enticing tales could veer him away; his eyes a

Does Not Compute: Chapter 2 (StevexReaderxTony)Tony was doing it…again. And right in front of him too! Steve huffed and the air flew upward, tossing the blonde lock in front of his face up only for it to fall back into place. Steve was fairly certain Tony was far too close—closer than he truly needed to be—as he showed (y/n) how to do something ‘sciencey’ to something equally as ‘sciencey.’ Steve literally hadn’t a clue as to what the two of them were conversing about…a language of their own. Steve watched you jump back and laugh as an orange liquid bubbled out from the beaker. Honestly though, just what were they doing. You had a degree in computer science, not chemistry. Space cadet he may be, but oblivious Steve was not.
“Steve, your face is positively frightening.”
Steve veers his eyes to his left to see Bruce carefully administering a pale blue solution to the beaker full of water below. When the solution met the water it sparked, briefly, emitting a sm
